Tracey Boutilier

Tracey Boutilier (Owner)

As Managing Director of Vibe, Tracey is responsible for overseeing client relations and strategy development for this leading creative agency. Tracey brings over 22 years experience in corporate communications and loves the challenge of solving problems. She loves her Island (Cape Breton that is) and values relationships above all else. In between travels – Nashville was a recent favourite – you can find Tracey rescuing stray animals and sipping Malbec. Mind you, not at the same time.

Neil Gascoyne

Neil Gascoyne (Creative Director)

Vibe’s Creative Director is an accomplished designer with extensive industry experience. Originally from the UK, Neil received a Higher National Diploma in Design Communications from Sheffield College, graduating with a distinction grade. In the UK Neil gained valuable experience with several agencies, working in print, web design and corporate identity—overall, Neil has five years of academic education and 20 years industry experience in creative design.

Neil’s core skills reside in his use of the design process. Through a direct, transparent dialogue with clients and other designers, Neil establishes a project’s unique objectives and challenges—using these he formulates effective solutions that resonate deeply with the intended audience. As Creative Director at Vibe he has gained valuable experience in a variety of domains including: exhibits for passenger terminals; large tourism brands/campaigns; complex signage systems; web design; corporate/visual identity and commercial photography. A natural communicator, Neil enjoys working closely with clients, creating solutions in which their communication objectives are met. He is skillful at reaching the core of a design challenge— indeed his sessions with clients are invaluable to the design process.

Neil has been nominated for the UK Kodak National Photograph Awards (1997) and has received two International Summit Creative Awards in 2005 and another in 2014 for his Cape Breton Island tourism brand. Two of Neil’s tourism campaigns were nominated for 2016 Tourism Industry Association of Canada awards.

Donna Tarr

Donna Tarr (Administration)

Donna is the key to the Vibe engine. Her proficiency in managing the office along with her infectious smile and laugh, keeps the office humming each and every day. She has an extensive work history in office administration and computer applications, having worked in the tourism, marketing and hospitality industries.

Donna has the knack for managing project traffic. From organizing meetings and functions to project tracking, financial management and client relations, she is a tremendous addition to the Vibe team. She works closely in all areas of the business and contributes her knowledge of the marketing and communications industry to Vibe’s projects.

Her formal training includes the Business Technology Computer Applications Program at Island Career Academy, as well as tourism and hospitality training during her eight-years of employment with the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site.

Alyssa LeBlanc

Alyssa LeBlanc (Designer)

Alyssa is an experienced designer and lead web developer who has been a valuable part of the Vibe team since 2010. A 2009 graduate of the Nova Scotia Community College Marconi Campus Applied Communications Arts and Technology Program, she furthered her education through NSCC’s Graphic Design Program where she graduated with honours in 2010.

Photography and design are her specialties. In addition to working with the Vibe team, Alyssa has over two years experience as a Photo Editor with Scott McIntyre Photography. Her quiet dedication to the task at hand, along with a strong sense of design principles, has led to successful project work with clients including Peter Bauer Jewellery, Louisbourg SeafoodsGroovy Goat Soap Company, Recreation Facility Association of Nova Scotia and Bette MacDonald.
