Tracey’s experience in corporate communications started with an appreciation of what people, and their companies, had to say. To learn the trade, she studied at the University College of Cape Breton and later at Mount Saint Vincent University through its Public Relations program. Developing communication strategy, along with the art of advertising, media relations, promotions and copywriting are her strengths…
Since the late 1980’s, Tracey has worked with local and international companies to help them sort out and capitalize on communication challenges and opportunities. This has involved agency of record management, group facilitation and strategic planning; research including surveys and focus groups; logistical support for key communications events and communications counsel for environmental and industrial sectors.
Tracey is a committed volunteer within her community and she uses her communications skills to assist several local organizations. Currently, she serves as President of the Fortress of Louisbourg Association; member of the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia (TIANS) and the Sydney and Area Chamber of Commerce (SACC).
